I love Mexican food! To leave a restaurant happy my standard is typically, ‘just don’t mess it up’. However, every now and then I stumble across something great. It’s clear when a restaurant is actually trying instead of trying to sail by and ‘not mess it up.’ I stumbled across just such a place at El Patron. It was one of the best I’ve been to. It was clear they put effort into everything they make. The chips and salsa are always a great telltale sign. Here, the chips were warm and salsa was tasty. We were off to a great start. We got margaritas- which were also awesome. The other places a Mexican restaurant can typically do the bare minimum are their rice, beans, chicken, and ground beef. This is especially true of the rice. Typically rice at these restaurants is dry and flavorless. This rice was awesome and full of flavor. If you get good rice- you know you’re in a good spot. The beans were also great. My burrito have fajita chicken- which I enjoyed. And I tried my son’s beef burrito and the ground beef had a lot of flavor. They typical meal prices were in the $12-$15 range- but the quality was worth it. It was busy in there on a Saturday night and I can see why. If you’re looking for a New Mexican restaurant to try- please put this one on your list.

Had reservations. Seated quickly. Food was good. Service was fine, we tend to put a lot of weight on how much the servers pay attention to our table, and in this case it wasn't much...we had to ask for refills constantly (we had a group of 7). The location was about 30 minutes for us, there are closer places to us that are just as good, so unless we were going to be in the area, we probably won't visit again.

Had a wonderful meal here. Fresh chips and salsa. Good queso too. We had great service. Our marg flight was really fun!

We were passing thru the area and stopped here for lunch. Such a great choice. The food was delicious. The waitress was nice. The lunch portion of fajitas was definitely enough for lunch and some leftovers! The carne asada tacos were delicious.

Excellent food and service. We are moving to the area and this was amazing! Can’t wait to make it a regular stop. Wish they had a shrimp cocktail though. But margaritas were amazing, which totally made up for it. Ha! 5 stars guys. Good Job! The Delvecchio family

We went back-to-back nights while in town for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I had carnitas both nights. Some of the best I've ever had. The others in our party all loved their food as well. Super friendly staff and great service. I highly recommend this for Mexican food.!
